The challenge

What does it look like when deep scientific experience meets a restless, start-up mentality? This was the world of Thorizon. Born from the national nuclear research institute, the founders had a pioneering vision for molten-salt technology. They had the science to change the world, but they needed a brand that could carry the weight of that ambition. The challenge was to create a compelling brand story and identity that could translate their complex, vital work into a message of clear, human hope.

Our journey together

Our journey began on the beach, with the entire Thorizon team. In a science-based and playful co-creative session using our 23plusone emotive methodology, we uncovered the shared drives that fuel their mission. This valuable input became the heart of their new brand story. We worked in close partnership, bouncing drafts and designs back and forth to collectively define who they are, why they exist, and what their vision for the future is, human by human.

The transformation

The result is a powerful and cohesive brand identity, captured in a brand book that details their founding principles and a new, clean-cut visual style. We helped bring this identity to life across all their touchpoints, from their slide deck to the design of their website. Thorizon now has a brand that matches the scale of their ambition, empowering them to attract talent and partners to join their mission.
