Impact board April ‘23
Our Spring 2023 Impact board meeting was attended by Maarten Thijs, Mylene Heystek, Sita de Kruijf, Kim Cramer and Alexander Koene. Michiel van Beek was absent due to a canceled flight, Moniek Buijzen could not attend due to Covid and Michael Cortino was recovering from an operated knee injury.
During the evening of April 11th, the BR-ND People Impact board convened at Alexander Koene's city apartment to discuss future actions, strategies, and ideas. The group covered various topics over drinks and a vegan dinner, including the BR-ND People Impact Review 2022, the impact strategy including sustainability journeys, the 23plusone Friends plans to evolve into joint cooperation by the users, the Let's play equal board game plans with the Amsterdam B Coalition, and the overarching concept of radical collaboration and the emerging symbiocene. Harmonious interactions between humans and all other living beings characterize this new era.
After thorough deliberation, the group agreed that the current strategies were on the right track from a positive impact point of view. However, Maarten Thijs urged the leadership of BR-ND People and 23plusone to go beyond customary cooperation and to think more creatively about radical collaboration. The group believes more breakthrough actions are needed to enhance the current impact services and expedite the desired systems change.
To achieve this, the group has resolved to identify and cultivate relationships with professionals and companies both within and outside their sector and outside their ‘impact bubble’ over the next 2-3 years. By doing so, we are confident that we can bring the vision to life and substantially impact society.
