BR-ND People remained open for business since mid-March when the COVID-19 measures locked many business up. Not only as we got to make money to feed and educate our children and pay for our rent. But moreover, we are convinced business must change for the better and we know how to support organisations in doing so.

We have respect for and feel pity for all the people and their businesses, who are forced to close down by their governments. It must be dreadful to not be allowed to practice what you are good at and what you like doing so much. Also, we feel compassion with all the people who are open for business, but because of a full stop in demand, they are not longer in operation. This is really shitty for the many entrepreneurs, company owners, and freelancers, giving them sorrow, worries and sleepless nights about their future. Our sympathy is with the many people who haven’t received the secured pay as promised by their governments, despite the sweet lip-service at the beginning of this involuntary lockdown. Let’s hope our politicians will soon deliver on their promises.

We feel sorry for the many, often elderly citizens, who now live in fear and are left in social isolation. And yes, it goes beyond saying that we also empathise lots with all the people and their beloved ones who grief over COVID-19 victims.

BR-ND People has been lucky in March and April with the continuation of enough client assignments to keep us very busy. We keep having trust in the future of our company. We have financial provisions to stay up and running for the next couple of months. And if the crisis would last much longer, we can always cut down our costs. Balancing our expenses with a lower income will secure the continuity of our firm. We’ve done it about 10 years ago with the banking crisis, we are confident we’ll sustain this mess as well.

The last 7 weeks we've kept open for business because we feel intrinsic drive to help clients in this uncertain period and also because we believe the economy really needs to transform. The crisis has hijacked the world as we knew it. We'd like to support a rebuild of business in a way which is fairer for people, promotes happiness and health for all and is more sustainable for our planet.
