Irakli Chorgoliani
Hello, my name is Irakli Chorgoliani. I am the new intern at BR-ND. I will try to meaningfully summarize my life in a few paragraphs.
My favorite thing in the world is being a dreamer, visiting my mental places, metaphorical mountains, nourishing my inner-world, and trying to understand more while being humble about not knowing much at all. I love to take a step back and think about the absurdity of taking everything as it is. We have the uncanny ability to have a clue about the complexity of the world and yet go on so simplistically about it. As much as I love being distanced from everyday thinking, I love thinking about how everything in the world is connected, all different off-shoots of the Big Bang – specks of stardust.
I like to think that I have recently descended from the cloud-faring and am a grounded idealist now. My experience with startups and business world allows me to couple idealism with pragmatism. We most likely have one life, we are all connected and in this together. Thus, it is logical to try to better the world and one another. I understand that real change can only be achieved through unified action. That is what led me to study at Economic and Consumer Psychology master program at Leiden University, to study psychology with a pragmatic twist. I hope to ultimately use my skills and knowledge to work on climate change. That is my life goal.
Throughout my everyday life I love to be warm and try to leave people better off. I may not always manage, but I will never stop trying. The best thing about my masters was that it helped me further understand where people come from, which helps me be less judgmental and more empathetic. Either way, I do not take myself seriously and have made friends with uncertainty of life.
I moved from Georgia to The Netherlands when I was 15 and was thrust into the international community. I have immense appreciation for both countries, and consider myself a world citizen.
